Even in this economy where people are losing jobs and work is hard to come by, people still need to relax in front of the television or go out to see a movie. Movies are a national pastime that has always been associated with relaxation and a stress reliever. As with every movie, they had to start somewhere, and that is no different than the smaller independent companies including a diamond in the ruff. A small company that many people may not have heard of is slowly emerging into this multibillion dollar industry called Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTC:CMGR).
Camelot is building a different kind of motion picture studio infrastructure by redefining the development, financing, production, and distribution process. Creating a world where filmmaking dreams come true, Camelot integrates early studio models, education, new technologies and fiscal responsibility to acquire, develop, finance, produce, market and distribute high quality commercial motion pictures, television and digital media.
Camelot has various groups in which they operate; Film Group, Distribution group, Studio Group, Darknight Pictures and Production Services.
The Film Group focuses on production of entertainment content, primarily feature films, television, and digital media. Camelot Film Group follows the company’s unique production model, which incorporates multiple film slates produced each year using its own propriety business model. This model allows for creative freedom, business discipline, unlimited opportunities, and a home for filmmakers.
The Distribution Group is a forward-thinking worldwide distributor that handles global sales for motion pictures and television content, including acquisitions, co-productions, and productions developed internally. Through strong partnerships with major theatrical, home entertainment, television, and VOD/internet sub-distributors as well as the ability to use creative marketing as a tool to increase worldwide sales, Camelot Distribution strives to be a leader in the industry.
The Studio Group plans to develop, operate, and fund selected studio sites, both domestically and internationally. By building an instrumental infrastructure for developing, producing, and educating, Camelot plans on incorporating integrated training facilities for film students as well as a workplace for professionals. Camelot Studio Group plans to be a home for filmmakers of all ages.
Production Services offer a vast range of capabilities that can be applied to motion picture, television, radio and music entertainment. If producing, Camelot has access to cutting edge sound stages and rigs as well as strong post facilities for everything from editing to foley. In addition, we are able to provide consulting services to third-party production companies, distributors, marketers, as well as other industry professionals.
Darknight Pictures launched in the fourth quarter of 2009, focuses on distributing genre driven films.
It’s the dark side of film. Some films that have been created by Darknight Pictures include the following, but not limited to:
- Samurai Avenger – a 90 minute feature film about a blind man who seeks revenge against the psychopath who took away his sight and slaughtered his wife and daughter.
- First Strike – a 90 minute film about a former expert in the US military’s top-secret psychic spy program who races against the clock to stop an incurable, bio-engineered virus that could end civilization as we know it!
- Zombie Culture – A documentary of the living dead

As Robert Atwell stated (Camelot Chairman), we are building a company that we believe will have a major impact in the independent film, television and digital media industry. It is a long process, and we must remain focused on our main objectives. Building our asset base and growing our internally generated cash flow is critical to our development.” It’s a marathon, not a hundred yard dash.”
